We are DEAR ALIENS. We are running this writing contest. We collect your email (via the email form), your name (when you submit), and perhaps also your address or other things you provide if you include that on the letter you mail to us. That is basically it.

We collect this information so that we can effectively run the contest. By participating you give us your consent to process this information (your email, name) to run the contest. We also have a legitimate interest in retaining mailed entries and any information included on them as part of the competition record.

We collect basic analytics about visitors to our website but from a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics provider. Really all we want to see is who's on the site and what country they're in.

We do not sell your personal data. We retain your data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above.
